LET THEM EAT FRUIT!!!

I made some Fruit Bouquets a few weeks ago. I enjoy making them. This is a great way to get children to eat more fruit. Put some regular ol' chopped fruit on a childs plate, and they will pick at it with their fork all day long. Give the some beautiful, colorful Flower Cantalope, Heart-Shaped Pineapple, and Strawberry Buds, and the will eat their entire daily servings of fruit in one sitting!!

In order to make these, all you need are cookie cutters, lollipop sticks or bamboo skewers, and fruit (such as pineapple, cantalope, honeydew, oranges, strawberries).

For the pineapple, cantalope, and honeydew, slice the fruit into approximately 1/4inch slices. Use the cookie cutters to cut out different shapes of each fruit.

For the oranges, cut each orange in half. Then cut each half, into thirds. The oranges should look like half-moon shapes.

Place the lollipop stick/bamboo skewer up and through the center of the different shaped fruits. For the strawberry buds, just put 2 to 3 strawberries on each skewer.

You can put your fruit bouquets inside of a vase. Just put a bunch of green leaf lettuce about halfway up the vase. The lettuce will give the bouquet more height, and will help keep the skewers standing upright. Here's some pics of bouquets I made.
